Omarion explains in an interview why he chose not to sign with Lil Wayne's record label Young Money. I think he's fucking mad.. there's no bigger exposure in the hip-hop industry than to be signed to that label.. I mean com'on: Lil Wayne, Drake, Bow Wow, Nicki Minaj & Mack Maine need I say anymore ?? !!.. Maybe he doesn't want the money... *sigh

Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg & The Game In The Studio Again!

The rumours of another collabortion with Dr. Dre and The Game are turning out to be reality now and not just myth. This pic of the Snoop Dogg, The Game and Dr. Dre was posted on Twitter the other day. The question is were they working on Snoop Dogg's new album Malice N Wonderland, The Game's R.E.D. Album or the long awaited myth that is Detox? Who knows and who cares because what album the tracks are on, we all know a collaboration with these three west coasters is gonna be hard!

Chipmunk, JLS and N Dubz all win at MOBO Awards

This year the two main winners at the Mobos were JLS who won Best UK Newcomer and Best Song for 'Beat Again' and N-Dubz who won Best UK Act and Best Album for Uncle-B which went platinum this year. The big suprise of the night though(well not really because we all knew he was sick) was Chipmunk when he won Best Hip-Hop Act, I suppose the big shock that he won a Mobo this year was because he beat Dizze Rascal and US artists like Eminem and Kanye West to the award..... Daaaaaamnnn Kanye must be pissssedd... Beyoncé did have the best video though! She also won the award for best International Act. Sean Paul got the Best Reggae Act award and and Keri Hilson BBC Radio 1 DJ Trevor Nelson were the other two main winners.

50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct Album Artwork & MTV Hottest MC

Here's the new album cover for Before I Self Destruct.. is it me or do you think 50 Cent slyly ripped off the scene where Spike dies in Buffy The Vampire Slayer? LOL. Well there are little details of the album out at the moment but it is currently scheduled to hit stores on November 17th and standard and 'Deluxe' copies of the album will be available to pre-order on iTunes from sometime in October.




In related news MTV's Hottest MC List has cause controversy again this year as 50 Cent was put at number 9 on the list! Personally I think that 50 Cent should be in the top 3, I think that he is being judged and compared to his previous records and it must be very difficult for 50 Cent to compete with himself. I mean how many rappers can say their debut album sold 11 million records? If the list were made in 2003 he would be #1 on the list, but it is because it has been very difficult for 50 to out do his first record and that is why he is not higher on the list, not that the list matters it's only a small panel that decides who is on the list and it's not the general public that get to vote. His music is ten times better than the other rappers out there. In the end it's going to be 50 Cent that sells the most records.. dude in the black hat in this video knows what he's talking about!

Diddy's Bad Boy / Interscope Era Has Begun

Sean 'Diddy' Combs CEO of Bad Boy Records has signed a deal that will create a joint venture with Interscope Records. This means that Diddy is leaving Atlantic, which is owned by Warner Music Group. CEO of Interscope Jimmy Iovine alongside Dr. Dre, was the main man behind G-Unit when they first released, other rap labels that have been associated with Interscope include Death Row back in the day, it is also home to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records and Eminem's label Shady Records. The first release from the new Bad Boy/Interscope venture is to be Diddy's forthcoming album 'Last Train To Paris' seeing as Diddy is on his new label we can probably look forward to alot more collaborations with label mates such as; The Game, Soulja Boy, & Lady Gaga but who knows what the future holds for Bad Boy.

Mobo Awards 2009

2009 is going to be the first year that London will not host the Mobo Awards since it was launched in 1995 by Kanya King. Instead it is going to be held in Glawsgow where it is expected to be the biggest and best awards show to date. This is gonna be especially big for UK music with home-grown talent like Chipmunk, Dizzee Rascal, JLS, Bashy, Donae'o & N Dubz all up for nominations.




The Mobo Awards will be shown Live on BBC 3 on September 30th 2009. And for all you without freeview catch it on BBC 1 on Friday 2nd October!
